Around Akabane Station, traditional shopping streets including Akabane Ichibankai spread to the east and west of the station. With plenty of options such as delicatessens, bento shops, bakeries, and convenience stores, this is the ideal place to stock up on food before the fireworks festival. By also utilizing nearby supermarkets, you can gather drinks and snacks in bulk for a large group. By evening, the stalls and vendors near the Arakawa riverbed venue will be crowded and items may sell out quickly, so it's wise to stock up thoroughly here. Enjoy the bustle of the shopping street while gathering provisions for the night.

いたばし花火大会は、板橋区の荒川河川敷・戸田橋付近を会場に毎年夏に開催される、地域を代表する花火大会です。広大な荒川の河川敷から遮るものなく見上げる空に、次々と大輪の花火が開く迫力は格別で、川面に映る光の揺らぎも見事です。河川敷の芝生にシートを敷いてのんびり観覧できるスタイルは、小さな子どもを連れたファミリーにもやさしい環境です。対岸の埼玉県戸田市側でも花火大会が同時開催されることが多く、両岸から花火が上がるスケール感も楽しみのひとつ。夏の夜空を彩る光と音のフィナーレを、家族でそろって楽しみましょう。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は板橋区の公式発表を事前・当日ともに確認してください。終了後は最寄り駅やバス停が大変混雑します。終了後すぐに移動せず、河川敷で少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅すると比較的スムーズです。帰り道は足元が暗い箇所もあるため、スマートフォンのライトを活用しましょう。

Tips

From the Jorenzi Temple and Akatsuka Park area, transfer via the Toei Mita Line and Saikyo/Utsunomiya Lines to reach Akabane Station. Bringing insulated bags and ice packs will keep your drinks cold all the way to the fireworks. Remember that all trash must be taken with you from the riverbed, so prepare garbage bags here as well.
