Around Akabane Station, old-fashioned shopping streets, including Akabane Ichibangai, spread out to the east and west of the station. There's a rich range of options for picking up food, from deli shops and bento stores to bakeries and convenience stores, making it an ideal place to stock up before the fireworks. Using the supermarkets near the station too, you can gather enough drinks and snacks for a large group all at once. Around the Arakawa riverbank fireworks venue, stalls and food stands get crowded from the evening onward and sell out quickly, so it's wise to prepare thoroughly here. Enjoy the bustle of the shopping street while shopping for the night ahead.

Tips

From the Jorenji Temple and Akatsuka Park area, transfer from the Toei Mita Line to lines such as the Saikyo Line or Utsunomiya Line to reach Akabane Station. Bringing a cooler bag or ice packs lets you keep drinks cold all the way to the fireworks. Since all trash at the riverbank must be taken home in principle, it's a good idea to prepare trash bags here as well.

About 1 hour. Finish your shopping before evening so you have plenty of time to reach the venue before it gets crowded.
