The vast Arakawa riverbank, spreading across both the Itabashi side and the Toda City side of Todabashi Bridge, is the main viewing area for the Itabashi Fireworks Festival. The grassy riverbank has plenty of spots where you can settle in comfortably on a leisure sheet, making it well suited to viewing with family. Spots gradually fill up with people staking out places from early evening, so arrive around 4 p.m. to secure your viewing spot. Spreading out the food you've picked up for dinner and spending a relaxed time watching the sky's colors gradually deepen while waiting for the show to start is one of the great pleasures of viewing these fireworks.

Tips

It's convenient to take a local bus or taxi from Akabane Station toward Todabashi Bridge. On foot, it takes about 20-25 minutes from Akabane Station. Some areas have traffic restrictions on the day, so check the festival's official information and traffic updates in advance. Temporary restrooms are set up, but expect lines before the show starts.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 15 minutes. Wait for the show while enjoying the changing colors of the sky around sunset and the view of the Arakawa River.
