Approximately 10,000 fireworks burst into the sky above the Ibi River's surface, with large star mines and 8-sun shells (尺玉) taking full advantage of the wide river's breadth to fill the night sky. The reflections on the river surface, unique to a water town, are beautiful, and the sight of fireworks' light wavering above the river's flow has a distinct charm different from land-based fireworks festivals. The blast sound reverberating through your body and the cool breeze rising from the river set the scene for a summer evening. Savor the climax of the 1 hour 30 minute festival until the 9 PM finale.

In case of severe weather or high water levels, the festival may be cancelled or postponed, so confirm the day's holding status via Kuwana City's official announcement. The return trip to Kuwana Station after the event will be heavily congested. After the finale, we recommend either lingering briefly along the riverbank to savor the lingering atmosphere before heading home with staggered departure times, or walking toward the station while letting the crowds disperse. Since some areas are dimly lit, bring a smartphone light or small flashlight.
