About this spot
Nabeya Tsutsumi (鍋屋堤), the launching venue for the Kuwana Suigo Hanabi Festival, attracts many spectators from evening onward seeking spots. This area, where you can overlook the Ibi River from atop the levee, is an excellent vantage point with fireworks in full view before you. The evening breeze blowing up from the river is pleasant even on a summer evening, and as the sun sets, the river surface transforms in hue from orange to indigo—a view beautiful enough even before the fireworks begin. Since vendor stalls line the area at this time, you can grab light snacks while awaiting the show's start.

2026年7月25日(土)19時30分打ち上げ開始、桑名水郷花火大会の観覧です。揖斐川の川面の上空に約10,000発が打ち上がり、広い川幅をいかした大型スターマインや尺玉が夜空を埋め尽くします。水郷の街ならではの川面への映り込みが美しく、花火の光が川の流れの上で揺れる光景は、陸の花火大会とはひと味違う情緒があります。腹に響く打ち上げ音と、川から吹き上がる涼風が夏の夜を演出します。21時のフィナーレまで、1時間30分にわたる大会のクライマックスをゆっくり楽しみましょう。
Tips
荒天・増水時は中止または延期になる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は桑名市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は桑名駅への帰路が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後は少し河畔で余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅するか、徒歩で駅方向へ向かいながら混雑をやり過ごすのがおすすめです。足元が暗い場所もあるため、スマホのライトや小型ライトを用意しておきましょう。

About 20 minutes' walk from Kintetsu/JR Kuwana Station, or convenient by bicycle or taxi. On the day of the fireworks festival, parking lots around the venue fill up early, so we strongly recommend using public transportation. The earlier you arrive, the better position along the riverside you can secure. Locate restroom facilities beforehand for peace of mind.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours 20 minutes required. The color transformation of the river before and after sunset is the day's most serene and beautiful moment.
