About this spot

Positioned about 10 km west of the Hisui Base in a mountainous area, Sakakibara Hot Spring is known as the historic hot spring resort documented by Sei Shōnagon in her Pillow Book. The Yu-no-se River flowing through the hot spring town continues along a verdant ravine, and simply strolling while listening to the sound of the water relieves the summer heat. Resting in the cool natural surroundings before the fireworks festival in the evening will allow you to comfortably enjoy the long viewing that night. Visiting a hot spring facility for a light bath is also a luxurious way to refresh yourself before viewing the fireworks.

久居花火大会は、陸上自衛隊久居駐屯地グラウンドを会場に毎年多くの来場者を集める三重県内有数の花火大会です。2026年は8月1日(土)の18時から20時30分まで、約5,000発が久居の夏の夜空を彩ります。自衛隊のグラウンドという広々とした空間で間近に打ち上がる花火は、音の迫力が格別で、スターマインや大玉の連続打ち上げが夜空を次々と埋め尽くします。2時間30分という長い開催時間も魅力のひとつで、腰を落ち着けてじっくり楽しめます。地域の人々が待ち望む夏の風物詩として、久居の夜を豊かに演出する大会です。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は津市または大会公式の発表で確認してください。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、久居駅方面への帰りは時間差での移動がおすすめです。近鉄久居駅の帰りの電車時刻は事前に調べておきましょう。足元が暗くなるので、スマートフォンのライト機能が役立ちます。

Tips

About 20–25 minutes by car from Hisui Station. Buses are limited in frequency, so a personal or rental car is more convenient. If you wish to use the hot spring bath, confirm the reception hours and fees at each facility in advance. Taking into account the travel time to the fireworks venue, plan to depart by 5:15 PM.
