The grounds of the Ground Self-Defense Force Hisai Camp (陸上自衛隊久居駐屯地) serve as the main venue for the Hisai Fireworks Festival. One of the appeals of this venue is its spacious grounds with plenty of room to spread out a leisure sheet and watch in comfort. Entering the venue 30 minutes before the show starts and securing a spot lets you get a good position facing the fireworks directly. Food stalls line the venue and its surroundings, so you can round out your dinner with the ingredients you bought at the roadside station. As the sun sets, the crowd of spectators grows, so securing a comfortable, settled spot early is the key to enjoying the show.
