The embankment at Himeji Port's Shikama district is the main viewing area for the sea fireworks festival. With Harima-nada spreading directly before you and nothing obscuring the view to the launch platform, you can enjoy the fireworks in full glory straight ahead. 姫路みなと祭のクライマックスを飾る海上花火大会です。播磨灘の沖合の台船から打ち上げられる10,000発超の花火は、遮るものない海の上空に大きく開き、煙が潮風に流れるたびに次々と鮮明な大輪が咲きます。スターマインや尺玉など多彩な演目が約1時間10分にわたって続き、海面に映る光の帯が二重の美しさを演出。フィナーレの連続打ちが港全体を照らし上げる瞬間は、10,000発という規模ならではの圧倒的な迫力です。播磨の海と秋の夜空が一体となるこの花火大会は、姫路の夏の締めくくりにふさわしい風物詩です。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式および姫路市の発表で必ず確認を。終了後は飾磨駅・山陽電鉄が大混雑するため、フィナーレ後は港で少し余韻を楽しんでから分散して帰宅するのがおすすめ。姫路駅方面へのシャトルバスや臨時増発の有無は当日の案内を確認してください。帰り道は足元が暗いのでライトを活用しましょう。

About 15-20 minutes on foot from Shikama Station. On the festival day, place-claiming progresses early, so ideally arrive at the embankment area before 6 PM. The sea breeze can chill you, so bring a light jacket. The harbor embankment has hard ground, so a cushioned sheet or folding cushion is recommended for comfort.
Best time to visit
Approximately 50 minutes. Enjoy the transition from the evening harbor to the night sea, watching as the sky's colors change.
