The area around JR Ichikawa Station (市川駅) is packed with restaurants and shopping facilities, offering a wide range of choices from Japanese food to family restaurants and fast food. Since the venue and the station get extremely crowded from the evening onward on the day of the fireworks, finishing an early dinner between 3 and 4 p.m. is the biggest point of this course. After eating, it's a good idea to shop at the station building or nearby, or stop at a convenience store to pick up drinks and light snacks for viewing the fireworks later. Once you've got everything ready here, you can head to the venue with time to spare.

Tips

Right by Ichikawa Station (市川駅) on the JR Sobu Line (総武線). It's safer to buy drinks and snacks at a convenience store here rather than near the venue, since items sell out quickly close to the fireworks site. Also check the balance on your IC card in advance, given how crowded the trains get on the way home.
