A natural history museum with birds as its specialized theme, located on the shores of Teganuma and rare throughout Japan. It features abundant specimens, models, and video materials of waterfowl and migratory birds that visit Teganuma, as well as bird species from across Japan and the world. The content is enjoyable for visitors of all ages, from children to adults. There are also areas within the museum where you can view the actual Teganuma lake directly through the windows, allowing for an experience that connects the museum to the natural environment outside. The cool interior makes it a perfect hidden gem to spend the hot afternoon hours comfortably before the fireworks festival.

2026年8月1日(土)19時から20時10分まで開催の手賀沼花火大会は、柏会場・我孫子会場の両岸から楽しめる、千葉県有数の夏の花火大会です。打上数は約13,500発と迫力十分で、広い沼の上空に次々と大輪が開きます。我孫子会場の手賀沼公園からは水面に映る逆さ花火も美しく、沼越しに見る花火の独特の奥行き感はここならではの絶景です。フィナーレに向けて連発が続く終盤は、沼面全体が花火の光で照らされ、1日の締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックスを迎えます。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式サイトや柏市・我孫子市の発表で事前に確認を。終了後は我孫子駅・柏駅方面への帰路が大変混み合います。花火終了後は沼畔で少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗くなるので小さなライトを持参すると安心。常磐線の帰りの電車時刻は事前にチェックしておきましょう。

Tips

Within walking distance from Teganuma Waterside Plaza. Admission is approximately 300 yen for adults (please verify on the official website). The well-air-conditioned interior is ideal for taking a break on hot days. The museum shop also carries adorable goods featuring bird motifs.
