An observation deck set atop Kembe Cape, a cliff towering roughly 60 meters above Iiokakaigan. Below spreads the Iiokakaigan coast where tonight's fireworks will be held, along with the long sandy beach of Kujukuri Beach. On clear days, the Pacific Ocean stretches to the horizon. Autumn's clear air provides especially good visibility, and getting a sense of the nighttime viewing spot from the daytime landscape is helpful. Walking paths are maintained around the observatory, allowing leisurely strolls while experiencing the sea breeze. Access roads have narrow single-lane sections, so drive carefully.

2026年10月3日(土)開催の旭市飯岡海岸花火大会は、九十九里浜の北端・飯岡海岸から約5,000発が打ち上げられる海辺の花火大会です。秋の澄んだ夜空は夏よりも空気が透明度が高く、花火の色彩がひときわ鮮明に見えるのが秋開催ならではの魅力。波打ち際の近くから打ち上がる花火は海面にも光を映し、陸と海の両方で楽しむことができます。潮騒とともに響く打ち上げ音が砂浜に座る体に伝わる迫力は、海辺の花火大会でしか味わえない体験です。フィナーレの連発を見届けたら、砂浜でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから帰路につきましょう。

About 5 minutes by car from Iiokakaigan, or approximately 15 minutes on foot up the slope. Observatory use is free. Parking spaces are limited, so arrive early during busy times. The area near the cape's tip of the walking path can be windy; hold children's hands while walking.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. Autumn afternoons have soft light, and the ocean's blue stands out beautifully.
