A dignified shrine located in Urawa Ward, Saitama City, also known as Musashi Ichinomiya. Unlike typical shrines, it has no torii gate, and instead of komainu (guardian lions), stone rabbit statues line the approach—a striking and unusual sacred ground that captivates children. The enshrined deities are Toyokawainehimemikoto, Amaterasu Omikami, and Susanoo no Mikoto, and it has been cherished by local people for centuries as a historic shrine. The trees in the grounds create cool shade that softens the summer sun, allowing you to spend quiet moments amid the day's bustle.

2026年8月1日(土)19時から20時30分まで、埼玉県戸田市の荒川河川敷で開催される戸田橋花火大会です。対岸で同時開催されるいたばし花火大会と合わせた打ち上げ数は約15,000発にのぼり、埼玉・東京の県境を挟んで両岸から花火が上がる壮観な光景が最大の魅力です。川幅の広い荒川の上空に次々と大輪が開き、川面に揺れる光の帯と相まって視界いっぱいに花火が広がります。フィナーレに向けて連発が続く1時間30分は、夏の夜の河川敷ならではの迫力と開放感に満ちています。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は戸田市・板橋区の各公式発表で確認してください。終了後は最寄り駅(戸田公園駅・戸田駅)への帰路が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後は河川敷で少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するか、混雑ルートを避けた帰宅経路を事前に確認しておくことをおすすめします。足元が暗くなるので、スマホのライトを活用して安全に移動してください。

Tips

An 8-minute walk from JR Urawa Station. Entry to the grounds is free. If receiving a shrine stamp (goshuin), please confirm the shrine office's reception hours. Stone rabbit statues are located throughout the grounds, so searching for them while walking is enjoyable.
