A department store in front of Urawa Station (浦和駅) with an extensive restaurant floor and food hall. Even when children want different things, there are so many options that the whole family can settle on a lunch everyone is happy with. The air-conditioned building is just the right place to cool down bodies warmed by the morning walk. If you buy the towels, spare clothes and drinks you still need for the afternoon water play here, you will not be scrambling once you reach the park. There are nursing rooms and baby rest rooms too, so it is easy to get around even with an infant.

さいたま市浦和区の「北浦和東公園水遊び場」です。2026年は7月4日(土)から8月30日(日)まで、9:00〜18:00の時間帯に利用できます(清掃等により利用できない場合あり)。利用は無料で、芝生に囲まれた浅い流れなので、水深を気にせず小さな子を遊ばせられるのが安心なところ。18時まで開いているため、日が長い夏は夕方からゆっくり遊ぶという使い方もできます。町なかの公園なので、駅から歩いて立ち寄れる気軽さも魅力。夏休みのほぼ全期間にわたって開いているので、予定を組みやすい水遊び場です。

Tips

清掃等により利用できない日があるため、遠方から向かう場合はさいたま市公園緑地協会の案内で当日の状況を確認しておくと安心です。更衣室の記載はないので、水着は服の下に着ていくのが確実。芝生にレジャーシートを敷けば、大人は座って見守れます。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊びましょう。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

Restaurants get crowded around noon on weekends and holidays, so going in before 12:00 or shifting to after 13:00 will cut your waiting time. You can also buy a bento in the basement food hall and eat it in the park. In preparation for the afternoon, do not forget a plastic bag for wet clothes.
