Located about a 10-minute walk from the south exit of Kumagaya Station, this is a municipal park that spreads along the Hoshikawa River. With a spacious lawn and shade provided by trees, it's a precious spot to catch your breath in Kumagaya where the summer sun is intense. The park also features a fountain plaza and play equipment area, so even small children can enjoy themselves. The promenade along the waterside of the Hoshikawa River is perfect for strolling, offering a quiet time away from the bustling station area. On the day of the fireworks festival, the atmosphere during lunch is relatively calm, making it ideal to spread out a lunch you've brought or takeout you've purchased nearby. The cool shade is particularly precious in Kumagaya's summer and also helps conserve energy for afternoon sightseeing.
