View fireworks launching from the Arakawa riverbank from the riverside
About this spot
The Kumagaya Fireworks Festival is the representative summer fireworks festival of northern Saitama Prefecture, launched from the banks below the Arakawa Bridge. With the vast Arakawa riverside as the venue, spectacular blooming fireworks spread across the night sky one after another. From the open riverside with few obstructions, fireworks appear large and directly before you, and the sound impact is extraordinary. In the night breeze crossing the river surface, the fireworks your family looks up at together become the summer's most treasured memory. The moment fireworks launch continuously toward the finale and fill the night sky is the climax of this full day.

Turn this into a day plan with stall time includedTips
Always check the official festival information in advance for event times and launch start times (2026 details have not yet been announced, so changes are possible). Also confirm the official announcement regarding cancellation in case of bad weather. After the show ends, the area around Kumagaya Station and major roads become very congested, so it's recommended to rest a while on the riverside after the finale before moving, staggering your departure time.
Best time to visit
