This is the largest terminal area in the Kansai region, home to JR Osaka Station (大阪駅), Hankyu Umeda Station (阪急梅田駅), and Hanshin Umeda Station (阪神梅田駅). The commercial facilities directly connected to the station offer a wide variety of restaurants, so you will not be at a loss for dinner before the fireworks festival. There is also a wide selection of takeout deli food, rice balls, and sandwiches, making it convenient for picking up light snacks to bring to the riverbed. In the evening, Umeda (梅田) bustles with people shopping and snacking their way around, further heightening the excitement before the fireworks festival. Eating well at this time will let you relax and enjoy the evening viewing without worry.

Tips

From Hankyu Umeda Station (阪急梅田駅), taking the Hankyu Kobe Line or Takarazuka Line to Juso Station (十三駅) is a convenient way to reach the viewing area on the Yodo River riverbed (about a 15-minute walk from there). The area around Juso Station also gets crowded on the day of the fireworks festival, so build some extra time into your schedule for eating and moving around. Since restaurants and shops around the venue are bound to be crowded, it is a good strategy to finish your meal in Umeda beforehand.
