Juso Station (十三駅)

Flow of the course

About this spot

Hankyu Juso Station (十三駅) is the station many visitors use as their access point to the viewing area for the Yodogawa Fireworks Festival. It is about a 15-minute walk from the station to the viewing area on the Yodo River riverbed (淀川河川敷). In the evening, the sky over the riverbed shifts from orange to indigo, and the color reflected on the water's surface changes moment by moment as well. Once you have spread out your leisure sheet to secure a spot, take out the drinks and snacks you brought and wait for the show to start at a relaxed pace. The riverbed starts to get chilly from evening onward in October, so it is a good idea to put on something to layer at this time.

Tips

About 5 minutes from Hankyu Umeda Station (阪急梅田駅) to Juso Station (十三駅) on the Hankyu Kobe Line or Takarazuka Line. Juso Station gets extremely crowded from the evening onward on the day of the fireworks, so moving early is recommended. The view differs depending on where you are along the riverbed viewing area, so arrive early and secure the spot you prefer. Restrooms tend to get crowded, so it is strongly recommended to use them early.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Around sunset, the riverbed is a special time before the fireworks, with a beautiful sunset and river breeze
