The Hirakata Area of Yodo River Riverbed Park, managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, is an open-air riverbed park with vast lawns. It features barbecue areas and cycling courses, and is a popular spot for local families. It is also the Hirakata venue for tonight's Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival. Visiting during the day will give you an idea of where to secure a spot at night. Experiencing the view of the opposite bank (Takatsuki side) and the width of the river will help you visualize the scale of the fireworks display. The autumn grass is cool, making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon rest.

水都くらわんか花火大会は、枚方市・高槻市が共同で開催する淀川の花火大会です。「くらわんか」とは、江戸時代に淀川を行き交う旅人に「餅くらわんか(食べませんか)」と呼び売りした小舟に由来する言葉で、この地域の水上交通の歴史を今に伝えます。2026年9月20日(日)の19時10分から20時00分にかけて、4,877発の花火が淀川の夜空に打ち上がります。枚方会場・高槻会場の両岸からの打ち上げにより、広い川幅を活かした開放感ある観覧ができます。川面に映る逆さ花火と、秋の夜風の中で響く打ち上げ音が、1日のクライマックスを演出します。
Tips
開演の1時間前(18時ごろ)には観覧場所を確保しておくのが安心。河川敷は足元が暗くなるためライトを忘れずに。終了後は京阪枚方市駅・JR各駅とも混雑が予想されるため、フィナーレ後は少し河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめ。荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で確認してください。

About 15 minutes on foot from Keihan Hirakata City Station, or a bicycle is convenient. Restrooms are located within the park, but on the night of the fireworks, lines are expected to be long, so confirm the location during the day. Some barbecue areas require advance reservations, so check the official information for same-day use availability.

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The riverside breeze during the day feels refreshing, and on a clear autumn day, it's ideal for a stroll.
