Michi-no-Eki Udaji Muro (道の駅 宇陀路室生)

Flow of the course

About this spot

Located near the entrance to the approach of Murōji Temple (室生寺), this roadside station is the local pantry, stocked with produce from the mountainous Uda area and local processed goods. Alongside freshly picked vegetables and fruit, you will also find processed products made with specialties from the Uda region. The light-meal counter serves dishes made with local ingredients, making it easy to use for a light bite before the fireworks. Since it is just a short drive from Murōji, it flows naturally as a stop after visiting the temple. It is also convenient to finish shopping for drinks and snacks for the evening fireworks here.

Tips

It is located along the national highway leading from the Murōguchi-Ōno Station side toward Murōji. Check the facility's official information in advance for operating hours. Shops get crowded from the evening onward on the day of the fireworks festival, so it is recommended to pick up drinks and snacks early.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. Early afternoon is a relatively relaxed time for shopping
