A historic site developed on a small elevated hill where the Watari Date clan's castle is said to have stood; the Watari Town Local History Museum is now located there. The museum displays exhibits about Watari's history and materials related to the Date clan, allowing you to learn about the region's origins in a compact format. Its hilltop location offers excellent surrounding views; on clear days, you can confirm the Pacific Ocean direction beyond the town. It's also a useful point for identifying the direction of tonight's fireworks venue during the day. Unlike busier locations, it offers a calm atmosphere that provides a quiet accent within the day's itinerary.
