Today it has become a destination where many visitors come seeking fresh seafood. Facilities handling locally-sourced fish, shellfish, and agricultural products are concentrated around Yuriage Port, allowing you to taste Natori's bounty of the sea on the spot. In particular, Miyagi's seafood such as salmon and oysters are exceptionally fresh and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Witness the town's continued recovery with your own eyes and experience it through its local cuisine. This is also an ideal spot to refuel before heading to the evening fireworks venue.

名取市夏まつり花火大会は、震災復興とともに歩んできた名取市を代表する夏の祭典です。2026年8月8日(土)19時30分から20時20分の約50分間、約10,000発の花火が夜空を染めます。震災メモリアル公園付近の広い空間から打ち上がる花火は、遮るものが少ない平野部で見渡しがよく、大輪の花火が低い位置まで広がって目に迫ってくる迫力があります。復興を続ける閖上の地で見上げる花火には、単なる夏の娯楽を超えた重みと感動があります。フィナーレの連発が夜空を埋め尽くす瞬間は、この1日のすべてを締めくくるにふさわしい光景です。

荒天時の開催可否は名取市の公式発表で必ず確認してください。終了後は帰路の混雑が予想されるため、フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動するのがおすすめです。シャトルバスや最寄り駅への臨時輸送の情報も事前に名取市の公式情報で確認しておきましょう。足元が暗くなるため、荷物をまとめる際はスマホのライトを活用してください。

Approximately 15 minutes by car from Natori Station. Parking is available. Note that nearby restaurants and direct sales shops may close early, so it's best to complete your meal by around 3 PM. On busy days, the area attracts many visitors, so be mindful of valuables and keep an eye on children.
