Natori City Disaster Reconstruction Memorial Park (名取市震災メモリアル公園) is a place of mourning and remembrance developed in the Yuriage district, which suffered catastrophic damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. With expansive grassy lawns and monuments and commemorative spaces, the park provides a quiet setting where visitors can thoughtfully contemplate the disaster. Tonight's fireworks festival will take place around this very park, so walking through it during the day helps you get a sense of viewing locations and traffic flow. The broad lawn is also an excellent spot for fireworks viewing, with spot-claiming beginning 2-3 hours before the show. Take time to leisurely explore the festival grounds as it stands alongside the path of recovery.

Approximately 10 minutes by car from Yuriage Port. While the park has a parking lot, on fireworks festival day it typically fills up early.
