A vast park located near the center of Miyazaki City, featuring well-maintained lawns and walking paths, providing a serene green space where families can spend leisure time. The grounds include the Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Art and Miyazaki Prefectural Library adjacent to them, creating a spacious environment where cultural facilities and parkland are integrated. Even under strong summer sunlight, shaded benches and the lawn area offer ideal spots to rest and cool off before heading to the next location. The space also allows children to run freely across the plaza, making it perfect for burning energy in preparation for the evening fireworks.

宮崎市の夏を代表するみやざき納涼花火大会は、大淀川の河畔・鶴島から打ち上がる約10,000発の花火が夜空を彩ります。川幅の広い大淀川を舞台にした花火は視界が広く、大きな尺玉からスターマインまでバラエティ豊かなプログラムが次々と展開します。川面に映る逆さ花火の光が揺れる様子は河川会場ならではの美しさで、南国宮崎の温かな夜風とともに忘れられない光景を作り出します。フィナーレの大スターマインは川と空を丸ごと照らす迫力で、会場全体が一体となる瞬間はこの1日のクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式情報で確認を。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場が大変混雑します。花火終了後はすぐに移動せず、河畔でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅するのがおすすめです。帰り道の河畔は照明が少ない場所もあるため、足元に注意してください。

Tips

15 to 20 minutes by bus or car from Miyazaki Shrine. Entry to the lawn plaza within the park is free. During summer, the sunlight is intense, so don't forget your hat and sunscreen. Vending machines are located throughout the park. From here, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes by car or bus to reach the fireworks venue on the banks of the Oyodo River.
