About this spot

The Ose River (大瀬川) riverbed spreading downstream from the Ose Bridge (大瀬大橋) is the main viewing area for the Matsuri no Beoka Fireworks Festival. Spectators begin gathering from early evening, so to secure a good spot, it's essential to arrive while daylight remains. The gentle breeze blowing along the riverbank is delightful, allowing you to relax as you spread out your leisure sheet on the riverbed. Enjoy the food procured from the bustling food stalls while watching the river's surface transform in color from sunset gold to indigo, and await the opening performance.

Tips

About 15-20 minutes' walk from Nobeoka Station (延岡駅). A leisure sheet is essential on the grass and gravel of the riverbed. Please take all trash with you when leaving. We strongly recommend using restroom facilities before the performance begins. Check official festival information in advance for details on traffic regulations and viewing area boundaries.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. The shifting colors of the river's surface around sunset are a special time that heightens anticipation for the fireworks.
