Around Nobeoka Station (延岡駅) you'll find takeout shops and shopping streets featuring local ingredients, an area where you can casually enjoy Nobeoka's cuisine. Nobeoka is also known as the birthplace of Chicken Nanban (チキン南蛮), so it's recommended to enjoy this local flavor at this time before the fireworks. After evening, the area around the fireworks venue becomes crowded with people heading to the festival, so it's reassuring to stock up on drinks and light snacks here. This is also the time to make final additions to leisure sheets or do a final check of your belongings at nearby commercial facilities.

Tips

Within walking distance from Nobeoka Station (延岡駅). The Ose River riverbed venue is accessible by foot or bicycle from the station. On the day of the event, parking lots nearby fill up early, so public transportation or walking access is convenient. Convenience stores and restaurants become crowded early in the evening, so visit with plenty of time to spare.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Finishing food and shopping before the evening peak makes enjoying the fireworks much easier.
