A general park located in the northern part of Miyakonojo City, which also serves as the venue for tonight's fireworks festival. The grounds, laid out around Kannon Pond (観音池), are spacious, and the walking path around the pond is beautiful this time of year with the autumn foliage. There is also a well-equipped playground for children, with a wide lawn where they can run around freely. Checking the venue's layout and the location of the Free Plaza during the day will make it easier to stake out a spot at night. Also check the location of the shops and parking lots at this time.

Tips

On the day of the fireworks festival, the parking lots get crowded from the evening onward. Check where to park during the day, or consider using public transportation. The park grounds are large, so wear comfortable, easy-to-walk-in shoes. The Free Plaza becomes the central area for viewing the fireworks, so the key is to get a sense of the terrain while it's still daytime.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. It's recommended to take a leisurely walk around the entire venue while it's still bright out.
