A roadside station affectionately known by its name NiQLL (Nikuru)—the gateway to Miyakonojo, a town known for meat and shochu. The facility features a food court offering dishes made with Miyazaki beef and locally raised pork and chicken, and the sizzling Miyazaki beef hamburger is so popular it draws long lines. The merchandise corner displays an array of fresh meat and processed meat products, shochu from local breweries, local vegetables, and sweets. It's a perfect stop to sample the full strength of the livestock town while preparing for your afternoon tour of falls and pastures.

Tips

The food court is crowded during peak lunch hours; arriving slightly earlier or later ensures a smoother experience. If you're taking home fresh meat or processed products, a cooler bag is recommended. Popular menu items may sell out, so arriving before noon ensures you can get what you want.
