Enjoy views of stone walls and the sea from a green hill jutting out into the Japan Sea

About this spot

A park that encompasses the ruins of Hagi Castle, spreading from the foot of Shizuki Mountain up its slope. The Hagi Castle, built by Mouri Terumoto in 1604, was demolished in the Meiji era, but magnificent stone walls and the castle tower base remain, testifying to its former grandeur. The park sits on a peninsula-like terrain jutting into the Japan Sea, offering expansive views of the sea from atop the stone walls and from coastal walking paths. You can also see Kikugahama Beach, the venue for tonight's fireworks display, giving you a chance to become familiar with the terrain before the event. The lush gardens, created by pine groves and stone walls, offer plenty of shade even during hot summer days.

Fireworks details

Name:

Date & time: 8/1 (Sat) 20:00–21:00

Venue:

Shells: approx. 7,000

Tips
