This beach park in Iho, Kuroshima, Yanai City, has a Southern European-style landscape with palm trees lining a roughly 330-meter stretch of white sand beach. You can look out over the Seto Inland Sea and the Oshima Bridge in front, and Mt. Kotoishi to the northeast, spending a relaxed time gazing at the sea. Conserve your energy here for tonight's festival. Since the town center gets crowded from the evening onward on festival day, it's reassuring to take a proper break and hydrate here at this time.
Tips
Within walking distance of JR Yanai Station. There are vending machines and convenience stores nearby, so stock up on drinks here. On days with strong sun, choose a shaded spot to rest. Packing light in preparation for the evening move will make things easier.
