富士山の山開き(7月1日)を祝う花火大会で、河口湖畔・大池公園ほか湖畔エリアを会場に約2,000発が打ち上げられます。湖上から打ち上がる花火は富士山のシルエットを背景に夜空へと広がり、静かな湖面に光の帯を映し出す光景は、内陸の湖の花火ならではの美しさです。標高800mを超える湖畔の夜気は澄み渡り、花火の色が鮮やかに映えます。山開きという特別な節目の夜を飾る約20分間の打ち上げは、富士山と河口湖の自然が揃って初めて成立する、山梨の夏を象徴する風物詩です。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は富士河口湖町の公式発表で事前に確認を。終了後は河口湖駅方面への道と駐車場が大変混み合います。フィナーレ後は湖畔でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するか、河口湖駅からの富士急行線の帰りの時刻を事前に確認しておきましょう。足元が暗くなるため小さなライトがあると安心です。

A 1-2 minute walk from Oishi Park. Operating hours vary by season, so confirm in advance. On fireworks festival day, crowds begin accumulating from the afternoon, so completing shopping at this time makes the early evening less hectic. Parking is shared with Oishi Park.
