The Kitakami River riverbed near the venue at the downstream area of Tonan Bridge is a popular spot where local residents gather for evening cooling on the night of the fireworks festival. Spread out the food and beverages you've prepared in advance and spend a quiet moment before the fireworks while listening to the murmur of the river. As the sun sets, the river's surface transforms from orange to purple to indigo, creating beauty unique to Morioka's summer. Tips

Procure dinner from nearby convenience stores or supermarkets early (items tend to become scarce after the evening of the fireworks day). The venue area has limited parking and traffic congestion is expected, so public transportation is recommended. Insect repellent spray is especially valuable on a riverside area at dusk.
