2026年8月8日(土)19時30分から21時まで、北上川河川敷の朝日橋〜朝日大橋間で打ち上げられる約8,000発の花火大会です。宮沢賢治が「イーハトーブ」と呼んだ岩手・花巻の空に広がる大輪の花火は、川面に映る光の帯とともに幻想的な光景を作り出します。スターマインや大玉の連発が夜空を埋め尽くすフィナーレは、川の流れに響く音の迫力とともに体に刻み込まれる体験です。賢治の詩情が息づく街で楽しむ夏の花火は、1日をかけて積み重ねてきた旅の記憶と相まって、忘れられない夜になります。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は主催者の公式情報で当日確認を。終演後は会場周辺の道路や駐車場が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後はしばらく河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから、人波が落ち着いた頃に移動するのがおすすめ。足元が暗いため小さなライトを持参すると安心です。

On the day of the fireworks festival, the evening is expected to be crowded, so arriving around or before 5 PM is recommended. After dinner, move to the Kitakami River riverbed (venue) by car, bicycle, or on foot. Parking lots around the venue fill up quickly, so confirm your parking position in advance.
