2026年8月8日(土)19時30分から21時まで、北上川河川敷の朝日橋〜朝日大橋間で打ち上げられる約8,000発の花火大会です。宮沢賢治が「イーハトーブ」と呼んだ岩手・花巻の空に広がる大輪の花火は、川面に映る光の帯とともに幻想的な光景を作り出します。スターマインや大玉の連発が夜空を埋め尽くすフィナーレは、川の流れに響く音の迫力とともに体に刻み込まれる体験です。賢治の詩情が息づく街で楽しむ夏の花火は、1日をかけて積み重ねてきた旅の記憶と相まって、忘れられない夜になります。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は主催者の公式情報で当日確認を。終演後は会場周辺の道路や駐車場が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後はしばらく河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから、人波が落ち着いた頃に移動するのがおすすめ。足元が暗いため小さなライトを持参すると安心です。

About 10 minutes by car from Hanamaki Station; walking is also possible. On the day of the fireworks festival, surrounding roads become congested—secure parking early following the organizers' guidance. Spread your leisure sheet in a position where the launch point is directly visible for maximum impact. Food stalls may start lining up in the evening, so it's safer to finish dinner at the station area before arriving.
