A roadside station within Hanamaki city where you can find fresh vegetables and fruit grown by local farmers, processed foods from Iwate Prefecture, and more at this farm-to-consumer direct sales center. With a lineup that showcases the agricultural richness of the southern Hanamaki region, it is also convenient for souvenir shopping. As a stopover before heading to the shores of Tase Lake, it is an ideal place to stock up on drinks, light snacks, and treats for the fireworks viewing at night. By finishing your shopping during a less crowded time than around the venue, you can enjoy the evening's fireworks viewing more smoothly.

田瀬湖湖水まつりのクライマックス、水・空中花火大会は山あいの静かな湖を舞台に繰り広げられる夏の一大イベントです。湖上から打ち上がる空中花火は夜空に大きく開いて周囲の山々に音が反響し、体の芯まで響く迫力があります。水中花火は湖面すれすれで光の半円をパッと広げ、湖面に映る逆さ花火との競演が田瀬湖ならではの絶景を生み出します。都会の花火大会とはひと味違う、山と湖に包まれた自然の中で楽しむ岩手の夏の風物詩です。

Tips

開催時間は当日の公式発表で必ず確認してください。荒天時の開催可否も大会公式発表に従ってください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混み合うため、フィナーレ後は湖畔で余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰路がおすすめです。足元が暗くなるので小さなライトがあると安心です。

Tips

Near the Tohoku Expressway Hanamaki South Interchange; about 10 minutes by car from Hanamaki city center. From here to Tase Lake is approximately 20–25 minutes by car. It is reassuring to stock up on drinks here in larger quantities. Please check the facility's official operating hours in advance.
