About this spot

This seaside park is laid out along the pier of Hiroshima Port (広島港), where you can enjoy calm views of the Seto Inland Sea from the grassy plaza and promenade. In the evening the sea breeze feels pleasant, and it is loved by locals as a spot to cool off. If you spread out a takeout meal here, you can finish your pre-fireworks meal while watching the Seto Inland Sea sunset. After sunset, the harbor's evening scenery, with the sky's colors changing moment by moment, is exceptional, and you can fully enjoy the wait until the fireworks begin at 8:00 p.m.

Tips

About a 5-10 minute walk from the Hiroshima Port Passenger Terminal (広島港旅客ターミナル). Use of the park is free. On the evening of the fireworks display, viewers start increasing, so it is recommended to spread out a leisure sheet early to secure a spot. Buy your food and drinks in advance. It is reassuring to check the location of the restrooms while it is still light out.

Best time to visit

About 3 hours. From dusk until the fireworks begin, you can spend a relaxed time enjoying the changing colors of the sky over the harbor.
