The finale of the Takehara Summer Festival Fireworks Display (たけはら夏まつり花火大会) is fireworks launched from the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海) off the J-POWER (Electric Power Development) Ground (J-POWER（電源開発）グラウンド). The large blooms of light opening in the night sky over the calm inland sea are also reflected on the still water's surface, creating a fantastical scene unique to the seaside. Beloved locally as the closing event of Takehara's summer festival, this fireworks display is a special time that colors the night of this historic town. Recall the white-walled townscape you walked through during the day and the sea you saw from Fumeikaku (普明閣) as you take in a Takehara summer night.

Afterward, viewers move all at once, so the area around JR Takehara Station (JR竹原駅) gets crowded.
