The temple grounds near Iyo City's Nakayama River feature a magnificent main hall and Great Teacher's Hall, with large trees providing shade that creates a peaceful sanctuary not only for pilgrims but also for local residents. With the lively evening of the fireworks festival ahead, spending an afternoon leisurely walking through these historic grounds will provide a nice accent to your day. The grounds are not overly large, making them easily accessible even for small children.

伊予彩まつり花火大会は、毎年夏に伊予港防波堤から打ち上げられる、地域最大級の花火大会です。約10,000発の花火が伊予灘の夜空に次々と開き、海面に映える光と重なって幻想的な光景を作り出します。打ち上げ場所が港に面しているため視界が広く、遮るものなく正面から大輪の花火を楽しめるのがこの会場の大きな魅力です。潮風とともに響く打上音、海面にゆれる花火の反射、フィナーレの連発が夜空と海を一体に包む瞬間は、夏の伊予市でしか体験できない特別な一夜です。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は伊予市の公式発表または伊予彩まつりの公式情報で当日に確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場が混雑するため、終了直後はその場で少し余韻を楽しんでから動き出すと混雑を避けやすくなります。帰りの足元が暗いのでスマホのライトや小型ライトを活用しましょう。

About 15 minutes by car from Iyo city center. Entry to the temple grounds is free, but please respect temple etiquette and spend your time quietly. Parking is available. To prepare for the evening venue entry, begin your next movement by no later than 3:45 PM for a more relaxed schedule.
