Michi-no Eki Kaze no Oka Yoneyama is a roadside station located at the foot of Yoneyama mountain in the southern part of Kashiwazaki City. The farm stand corner is well-stocked with fresh vegetables and fruits from local farmers, as well as specialty products from the Kashiwazaki and Kakizaki areas, where you'll find ingredients unique to Niigata. You'll also find local sweets, nori seaweed, and processed seafood products from the Sea of Japan for souvenir shopping. The restaurant offers dishes using local ingredients, making it a convenient spot for a light break before dinner. A casual stop-by place to wrap up your afternoon stroll before the fireworks.
Tips
Convenient car access along National Route 8. Spacious parking. Farm stand produce can become scarce in the afternoon, so pick up items you want early. It's recommended to depart by the 5 PM hour with plenty of time to reach the fireworks venue.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. Stop by before evening and take local flavors home as souvenirs
