Tonight's Symphonic Starmine venue is a vast grass plaza at the tip of Karamatsuhantou Peninsula. Positioned at the tip of the peninsula jutting out into Lake Biwa's southern basin, it boasts a prime location offering expansive views of the lake surface. Spectators begin to gather gradually from evening, so secure your spot with a leisure sheet at this time. As the sun sets, the lake surface gradually transforms to indigo, and the silhouettes of the distant mountains emerge in an exceptional twilight scene. Spreading out your packed dinner and waiting for the performance while enjoying the lake breeze is an important part of this course.

烏丸半島芝生広場を会場に開催されるSymphonic Starmineは、琵琶湖の広大な水面と夜空を舞台にした花火大会です。周囲に遮るものが少ない半島の先端から見上げる花火は視界いっぱいに広がり、静かな湖面に映り込む光の帯が独特の美しさを添えます。近江の山なみにこだまする打ち上げ音と、湖を渡る夜風が、夏の滋賀ならではの花火観覧体験をつくり出しています。名前が示すように、音楽に合わせた演出も見どころのひとつで、花火と音が一体となって打ち上がる瞬間はまさに交響曲の一場面のようです。
Tips
開催時刻や荒天時の中止・順延については、大会公式の最新情報を必ず事前に確認してください。終演後は来場者が一斉に動き出すため、駐車場や臨時バスが混雑します。花火終了後は芝生広場でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから移動すると、混雑のピークを避けやすくなります。帰りの足元は暗いため、小さなライトがあると安心です。
Tips
The parking lot may fill up early on the day of the fireworks festival. If using the bus, confirm the schedule for regular and temporary Karamatsuhantou-bound buses in advance. The public restrooms within the plaza may have long lines, so use them early. After sunset, temperatures can drop suddenly, so have an outer layer readily accessible. The ground becomes dark after nightfall, so having a small light is reassuring.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. Take your time enjoying the gradual transformation of the lake surface from sunset to indigo hues.
