About this spot

Located near the foot of Tomioka Castle Ruins (富岡城跡), this facility introduces Amakusa's nature, history, and culture. Its easy-to-follow exhibits on the sea life and terrain of Amakusa and the history of Reihoku Town make it enjoyable for children and adults alike. Exhibits on Amakusa's marine life, especially dolphins and sea turtles, are particularly popular with children. It's a great place to cool off during the hot midday hours while deepening your knowledge of Reihoku, which will enrich your later seaside stroll and evening fireworks viewing. There is also plenty of information on the surrounding coastline after your visit, making it handy for planning your next stroll route.

Tips

Within a 10-minute walk of Tomioka Castle Ruins (富岡城跡). Admission is free. Please check the opening hours in advance through Reihoku Town's official information. On the day of the fireworks display, it may get crowded, so it's best to visit right after opening or early in the afternoon.
