Panoramic Views from the Observation Platform - Iizuka's Clear Autumn Scenery
About this spot
A park spreading from the midslope to the summit of Kashamatsu Mountain, located on the south side of Iizuka City, this is a beloved recreational spot cherished by local residents with its verdant landscape. From the observation platform, you can see the Iizuka city center and the flow of the Onga River—where tonight's fireworks will light up—stretching far into the distance. In late September's clear air, an expansive panoramic view extends to encompass the mountain ranges of Chikuho. The park also features a wide grassy plaza and play equipment areas, providing an open space where children can run freely. Viewing the fireworks venue from this elevated vantage point in daylight adds anticipation for the evening's spectacle.

Tips
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from the Old Itō Denemon Residence. The park has parking available. The walking paths near the observation platform are uneven, so wear comfortable shoes. Food stalls are not always available, so bring beverages in advance. Bring a light jacket to prepare for the cool evening air.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours required. The afternoon light illuminating the city center provides the best views from the observation platform.
