About this spot
This is one of Kitakyushu's largest green spaces facing Hibiki Nada, with abundant family-friendly facilities including vast grassy fields, large play equipment, splash pools (seasonal), and animal contact corners. Located on the north side of Wakamatsu Ward with views over Hibiki Nada, it's an ideal place for children to move their bodies freely in the comfortable autumn temperature. Having children play plenty before the fireworks viewing often keeps them calm during the evening viewing, making it an effective stopover for family fireworks success.

くきのうみ花火の祭典は、若戸大橋を間近に望む洞海湾を舞台に繰り広げられる北九州を代表する花火大会です。約4,500発の花火が洞海湾の夜空を染め上げ、湾の水面に映える光の帯と橋のシルエットが重なる光景は、港町・北九州ならではの迫力と情緒を持ちます。秋の開催のため夏の花火大会とは異なる澄んだ夜空に花火の色が鮮やかに映え、涼しい潮風の中での観覧は格別です。40分間のプログラムが終わるころには、洞海湾の夜景とともに忘れられない秋の夜の思い出が刻まれているはずです。

開催日は2026年10月24日(土)19:00〜19:40。荒天時の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は若松区内の道路が混雑するため、フィナーレ後しばらく岸壁で余韻を楽しんでから帰路につく時間差移動がおすすめです。車の方は事前に駐車場の場所を確認しておきましょう。
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Takatoriyama Park. Admission is around 200 yen for adults (check age divisions at the entrance). The park is large, so it's efficient to narrow down the areas to visit based on your child's age. Start heading to the fireworks venue early in the evening and allow plenty of time for securing a spot.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes. The autumn afternoon breeze feels refreshing, and it's pleasant to simply relax on the grass.
