Around JR Maebashi Station (JR前橋駅) there are many restaurants and commercial facilities, making it a convenient area for dinner. On the day of the fireworks display, restaurants and stalls around the venue become very crowded, so it is wise to have dinner a little early in this area. It is also a good idea to pick up takeout at the station building or the shopping street in front of the station to bring to the venue. Once you have finished your meal at a leisurely pace, get ready to head to the fireworks venue at the Owatashibashi North-South Riverside Green Space (大渡橋南北河川緑地).

Tips

The bus is convenient for getting from the Runa Park/Maebashi Park area toward the station. On the evening of the fireworks display, many people are moving around, and buses and roads start to get congested. Finishing your meal early in the 17:00 hour makes the subsequent move go more smoothly. From the station, it is about a 25 minute walk to the venue, or you might also consider a temporary shuttle bus or a bicycle.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Finishing your meal early in the evening gives you more leeway to secure a spot at the venue.
