The Maebashi Fireworks Display (前橋花火大会), held on August 8, 2026 (Saturday), takes place at the Owatashibashi North-South Riverside Green Space (大渡橋南北河川緑地) on the banks of the Tone River (利根川), and boasts a scale of about 15,000 shells, one of the largest in northern Kanto (北関東). From the wide riverbank you can look up at the night sky with nothing blocking your view, letting you directly experience the power of the great bursts. The reflection of the fireworks on the river's surface and the pleasant night breeze blowing across the river are appeals unique to a riverside fireworks display.
