Haruna Lake is a volcanic crater lake located at approximately 1,100 meters elevation on Mount Haruna (榛名山) in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. At the boat launch on the lakeshore, you can rent swan boats or hand-paddled boats, and the panoramic views of the elegant Mount Haruna Fuji (榛名富士) and surrounding mountains from the water are exceptional. Even in midsummer, temperatures remain low, and the breeze across the water is pleasant—a charm unique to highland lakes. Since tonight's fireworks will launch from this lake, noting the launch location in advance will enhance your night-time enjoyment. At approximately 1.5 km in circumference, the lake is an accessible size, and a lakeside walk after returning your boat is also recommended.

Tips
荒天時の開催可否は高崎市の公式発表で事前に確認してください。終了後は湖畔の駐車場から出るまでに時間がかかる場合があります。フィナーレ後は湖畔で少し余韻を楽しんでから、混雑が落ち着いたタイミングで移動するとスムーズです。帰り道の湖畔は足元が暗いので、ライトを準備しておきましょう。
Tips
There are multiple free parking lots around Haruna Lake. Boat rates vary by type, so confirm at the launch site. You can also grab lunch at lakeshore restaurants and soba shops. Since it's a highland area, UV rays are strong—don't forget sunscreen and a hat.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. Around midday, the wind is calm and the lake surface mirrors the mountains like glass.
