Nestled on the mountainside of Mount Haruna, Haruna Shrine is an ancient shrine with over 1,400 years of tradition and is widely known as one of the Kanto region's foremost power spots. The approximately 700-meter approach from the parking lot is lined with massive boulders and centuries-old cedar trees, creating a cool, shaded stone pathway in another world untouched by summer sun. Passing through the Zuishinmon gate and venturing deeper, the approximately 100-meter-tall Onsugataiwa rock looming behind the main hall strikes awe into visitors at its natural grandeur. The shrine is also known for enshrining the Seven Lucky Gods, and features an excellent selection of auspicious souvenirs. Before the fireworks, settle your spirit in this quiet sacred space and offer thanks for your journey.

2026年8月7日(金)20時から1時間、榛名湖畔から打ち上がる榛名湖花火大会です。標高1,100mの火口湖という円形の地形が音を四方から反響させ、約1,500発の花火は数字以上の迫力で体に響きます。湖面に映る色とりどりの逆さ花火は、山上湖の花火大会ならではの幻想的な美しさで、家族の記憶に深く刻まれる光景です。榛名富士のシルエットを背景に開く大輪の花火は、都市の花火大会では味わえないスケール感を持っています。涼しい夜風の中、静かな山上湖で楽しむ1時間は、この1日のクライマックスにふさわしいひとときです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は高崎市の公式発表で事前に確認してください。終了後は湖畔の駐車場から出るまでに時間がかかる場合があります。フィナーレ後は湖畔で少し余韻を楽しんでから、混雑が落ち着いたタイミングで移動するとスムーズです。帰り道の湖畔は足元が暗いので、ライトを準備しておきましょう。

About 15 minutes by car from the lakeshore. Parking is available near the approach entrance, with both paid and free options. The approach features stone paving, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. If receiving a shrine stamp, confirm the office reception hours in advance. A rest at a tea shop along the approach on the way back is also recommended.
