On the festival evening, the street bustles with local and visiting crowds, but at this hour you can still enjoy street food relatively calmly. Having a quick meal here before moving to Sunbeach allows you to enjoy the fireworks viewing more freely. Don't forget to pick up souvenirs.

大洗サンビーチを舞台に繰り広げられる、約20,000発の大規模花火大会です。遮るものがない太平洋の広い空いっぱいに開く花火は、内陸の花火大会とはまったく違う開放感があります。海の上で炸裂する大輪の花火は音の反響も豊かで、砂浜に座って見上げると光と音が体全体に届く迫力。スターマインや尺玉など多彩なプログラムが夜空を彩り、フィナーレに向けて次々と打ち上がる連発は観覧客を大いに沸かせます。9月の夜の海風とともに楽しむ、大洗の1年で最も盛大な夜です。

開催時間は当日の公式発表で確認してください(時間未定)。荒天時の中止・延期は大会公式の情報に従ってください。終了後は周辺道路と駐車場が大変混雑するため、帰りは花火終了から少し時間を置いてから移動するか、大洗駅方面への徒歩ルートを事前に確認しておきましょう。足元が暗いので、スマホのライトやヘッドライトがあると安心です。

Tips

Shops are scattered within a 5 to 10-minute walk from Oarai Station. After early evening on the festival day, the area becomes crowded with sold-out items occurring quickly, so complete your street food sampling and shopping by 4 to 5 p.m. From here, head to Oarai Sunbeach on foot or by car.
