About this spot

A spacious, bright diner on the first floor of Suwa City Hotel Naritaya, close to Kami-Suwa Station. Its signature dishes are Shinshu Suwa miso katsu don (breaded pork cutlet on rice with miso sauce) and Shinshu salmon negitoro don, both popular repeat orders. On the night of the fireworks, restaurants around the lakeshore get crowded, so fueling up here while it's still light makes your evening plans much easier. Don't forget to also pick up drinks or snacks at a nearby shop afterward.

Tips

Within walking distance of JR Kami-Suwa Station. On the day of the fireworks, crowds are heavy and popular restaurants fill up from early on. An early dinner around 5 p.m. is a safe bet. Be sure to stock up on drinks afterward. The viewing area is accessible on foot from the station.
