About this spot

Located in the town area about a 5-minute walk from JR Fukuroi Station, this is a classic stop in the Fukuroi area. It carries fresh vegetables from local farms, Shizuoka specialty processed goods, and local bento and deli food, making it a perfect place to stock up on food before the fireworks. Food stalls also line the nearby riverbank on the day of the festival, but avoiding the congestion near the venue and preparing dinner here with plenty of time to spare is the smart choice. Doing your souvenir shopping here too means less to carry that evening.

Tips

Just about a 5-minute drive from the venue, Harano-yagawa Riverside Park, making it an ideal last stop to stock up before the fireworks. Buy plenty of drinks (the area around the venue gets crowded from the evening onward). Note that on the day of the festival the parking lot starts filling up early. About 1 hour 30 minutes. Visiting in the early hours before evening means a fuller selection of goods.
