About this spot
This riverside park developed along the Haranoyagawa is the venue for the Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks competition. The embankments and grassy viewing areas spread across both banks of the river are expansive, and from evening onward, the park bustles with families securing spots. As dusk falls, a pleasant breeze flows along the riverbank, offering the open, refreshing atmosphere of a summer night quite different from urban fireworks displays. While food stalls will be present for additional purchases, it's reassuring to prepare your basic meals and beverages in advance.

全国花火名人選抜競技大会 ふくろい遠州の花火は、名前のとおり全国から選抜された花火師が技術と芸術性を競い合う、格の高い競技花火大会です。2026年7月25日(土)19時20分から21時まで、原野谷川親水公園の上空で開催されます。単なる打ち上げ花火ではなく、名人ならではの独創的なデザインや緻密な構成を持つ作品が次々と夜空に花を咲かせ、見るたびに新たな発見があります。川面に映り込む光の揺らぎも、川辺の観覧会場ならではの見どころです。遠州の夏の夜に刻まれる、1年に一度の特別な花火をご堪能ください。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式サイトや袋井市の発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路と駐車場の出庫が大変混み合うため、フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動するとスムーズです。帰りの河川敷は照明が少なく足元が暗いため、スマホのライトや小さなライトがあると安心です。

On competition day, surrounding roads are subject to traffic restrictions, so check the official competition website in advance for shuttle bus and nearest parking information. A leisure sheet is essential; bring insect repellent as there are many insects on the embankment grass. Strongly recommended to use restrooms before the show begins.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The time when the twilight sky reflects on the river surface becomes an excellent prelude before the fireworks begin.
