During the Minato Festival period, many food stalls and vendor booths line the area around Hinodeshutou, and the entire harbor becomes dyed in one festive mood. Secure a viewing location in the early evening and enjoy dinner procured from the stalls. The harbor at dusk is a beautiful time when the western sky turns orange and light shimmers on the water's surface. As the sun sets, the crowds increase and good viewing spots fill up, so for peace of mind ahead of the 6 PM show, it's safe to start securing your spot from around 4:30 PM. In addition to stalls, it's also recommended to get takeout from Espulse Dream Plaza in advance.

Tips

Restaurants and stalls around the venue form long lines from evening onward. Secure drinks and snacks early. Convenience stores will also be crowded, so plan with plenty of time. The view varies greatly depending on the location within the viewing area, so move early to secure the spot you identified during the daytime scout. This is the key point.
